The 2018 Housing Fair is being held in Pori from 6 July to 5 August 2018. The theme for the Housing Fair is ‘living throughout life’.

At the 2018 Housing Fair, traditional Pori tenacity is applied to resolving everyday problems that complicate our lives unnecessarily at its various stages. In this spirit, we cater to visitors of all ages, and the sites include an actual daycare centre and an assisted living facility. The Housing Fair theme weeks feature a range of intelligent approaches for making your life that little bit simpler and happier. We demonstrate that a sense of community and neighbourly help can be achieved among people of strong character. Here along Kokemäenjoki river, we show how privacy and security can be ensured without leaving anyone feeling isolated.

The Housing Fair site comprises 28 detached houses, one renovation site, one terraced house, an assisted living facility and a daycare centre. In all, there are 34 sites on the fairgrounds.

The Housing Fair is located at Karjaranta, which is within walking distance of the town centre and only a bridge away from the excellent recreational amenities of Kirjurinluoto island. This new district is distinctive, handsome and in a good location. Building the fairgrounds was in itself ecologically beneficial, as it involved converting the disused industrial area of Karjaranta into a dynamic riverside residential district.
